Surrounded by the beautiful Ouachita Mountains to the south and the Boston Mountain Range of the Ozarks to the north, and formed by the Arkansas River, Lake Dardanelle is a sprawling 34,300-acre reservoir that offers some of the finest fishing and boating resources in Arkansas. Although stringer-busting catches of crappie, bream and catfish are common, the outstanding largemouth bass fishery attracts anglers from all over the country.
Located just a short drive from the spa city of Hot Springs on the lake's eastern shore, Lake Ouachita State Park is your gateway to this popular water sports lake. Surrounded by the Ouachita National Forest, Lake Ouachita is known for its scenic natural beauty and the clarity of its waters. These pristine waters form the largest manmade lake within Arkansas's borders. Named one of the cleanest lakes in America, 40,000-acre Lake Ouachita is a water sports mecca for swimming, skiing, scuba diving, boating, and fishing. Angling for bream, crappie, catfish, stripers, and largemouth bass can be enjoyed in open waters or quiet coves along the lake's 975 miles of shoreline.
Central Arkansas's main water supply, Lake Maumelle has an area of 8,900 acres covering an area of 14 square miles and a 70-mile shoreline. Located approximately 12 miles northwest of Little Rock, Lake Maumelle's convenient location and picturesque beauty is sure to capture your heart.
Greers Ferry Lake is a favorite water playground nestled in the foothills of the Ozarks in north central Arkansas. This 40,000-acre masterpiece pleases water enthusiasts of all types. Greers Ferry Lake still holds the world record for walleye and hybrid striper. Greers Ferry Lake is noted for its pristine shoreline and deep crystal clear waters that provide a wonderful opportunity for enjoying nature at its finest.
